Andy Fields

Sr. Research Technician

Andy joined the Adey Lab in Fall of 2015 as a Sr. Research Technician. His primary role is to provide wet-bench support for the lab’s novel molecular and functional genomic research projects. He has worked in both industry and academia. His prior position was at a biotech startup company, where he was instrumental in developing a new chromatin-based method for more accurate Genome Assembly. He is currently working on a high-throughput single-cell methodologies for detecting copy number variation and translocations in cancer tissues.
