Konstantin Queitsch

Konstantin earned his undergraduate degree at Columbia University before working as a research associate at the University of Washington and the Altius Institute for Biomedical Sciences. There, he focused on photo-genomics and preclinical CAR-T optimization projects, which fueled his interest in technology development with clear goals and clinical applications. Now, as a Ph.D. student in the Program for Biomedical Science at Oregon Health & Science University, Konstantin is dedicated to advancing genomics technology. Under Dr. Andrew Adey’s mentorship, he optimized single-cell whole genome sequencing (scWGS) methods for use on commercially available instruments. He collaborates with Dr. Melissa Wong and Dr. Tanya Shree, applying these scWGS methods – and other single-cell-omics strategies – to further their cancer research. Outside the lab, Konstantin enjoys weightlifting, playing roguelike deck builder games, and skiing.
